Taco El Jalisciense: Reviews & Ratings
Always friendly and fast service. Tacos and burritos are always flavorful.
This taco joint in Humboldt Park is one of the best around. The food is consistently delicious, the meat is high-quality, and every order comes with homemade chips and salsa that taste fresh and authentic. While the prices are a little higher than some other places, you absolutely get what you pay for, the quality is worth the little extra coin. The owner and his crew are always cracking jokes and having a great time behind the counter. Their energy makes you feel welcome and keeps you coming back. This has officially become my new go-to spot for tacos and authentic Mexican food. I have a lot of family from Jalisco, Mexico, and I’ve brought them here. They say the same thing….the food tastes like home. Viva México, viva Jalisco!
I love this place. It seems like neighborhood spot. Friendly service and good food. Small but homey. Ordered the chicken burrito dinner with hibiscus (Jamaica)water and a side of chips. The chips were great, beans wonderful, burrito was delicious but the rice was a bit chumpy but still good. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area.
Dropped in here because they were nearby tonight, but I’ll be coming back a lot. I’m originally from Texas and got spoiled with delicious tacos growing up. These definitely made me miss home in the best way. Everything was incredibly flavorful and well seasoned and the staff and owner were kind and funny. 200/10, I will absolutely be coming back. Got the taco dinner tonight, but there is a lot more I need to try. One of few places I’ve found with well seasoned rice and beans.
Tacos were EXCELLENT Meat was incredible and flavorful. Tiny place but just the right amount of seating for a quick eat The dudes here are a vibe
A gem. Sweet people working behind the counter . A great steak taco and pastor was good as well. Comes with Lime, salsas and a grilled jalapeño.
Visited for weekday lunch and the tiny place could hardly hold all the customers. But understandably so! It's an order-at-the-counter type place with a few barstools and high tops. Limited parking. The food was amazing!! If you've never had a spicy chicharron TACO, treat yourself to one today.
This is the real deal. Came here after an afternoon at Suncatcher. Celina burrito is the real deal. Honestly haven’t had something like that ever 45 years living in Chicago. Go there, get food and eat it, you’ll be happy you did.
